Can Tattoo Butter Balm Help Prevent Tattoo Fading Over Time?
1. What Is Tattoo Butter Balm and How Does It Work?
Tattoo butter balm is a moisturizing product designed to nourish the skin and aid in the healing process following a tattoo or semi permanent makeup application. The balm usually contains natural oils, butters, and vitamins that keep skin supple and hydrated, which is crucial for maintaining pigment intensity.
2. Does Tattoo Butter Balm Actually Prevent Fading?
While tattoo butter balm can't fully prevent natural fading due to skin renewal and environmental exposure, it significantly reduces the risk. Keeping the skin moisturized prevents dryness and flaking, both of which can lead to premature pigment loss. Using a high-quality balm helps lock in color and supports long-lasting results.
3. How Should Tattoo Butter Balm Be Applied for Best Results?
For optimal effectiveness, apply a thin layer of butter balm to clean, dry skin 2-3 times daily or as recommended by your technician. Consistent use during the healing phase of a new tattoo or after a semi permanent makeup touch-up is vital. Avoid over-applying, as this can suffocate the skin and delay healing.
4. Are There Other Ways to Prevent Tattoo or Semi Permanent Makeup Fading?
Indeed, aftercare goes beyond just using butter balm. Always use sunscreen on healed areas exposed to the sun, avoid harsh skincare products over the pigment, and refrain from picking or scratching healing tattoos. Gentle cleansing and regular moisturization are key factors in preserving color intensity.
5. Which Ingredients Should I Look for in a Tattoo Butter Balm?
Seek out balms with nourishing components like shea butter, coconut oil, vitamin E, and beeswax. Avoid balms with artificial fragrances or harsh chemicals, as they can irritate sensitive, healing skin or interfere with pigment retention. QM Makeup recommends balms designed specifically for semi permanent makeup and tattoos for the safest results.

Glue
With this very sticky glue, will the lashes fall off when I use the perm lotion?
Our glue is very sticky and after drying it holds the lashes very firmly to the lash silicone perm rod. Although our glue is water-soluble and can be easily cleaned with water, since there is not much water in the perm lotion, there is not enough water in it to dissolve the glue, so there is no chance that the lashes will not stick to the silicone perm rod and fall off after using the perm lotion. The same goes for Neutralizers too.
Tattoo Repair
How often should I use the microblading repair product for best tattoo aftercare results?
It is recommended to apply the repair twice a day, morning and evening, for 1-2 weeks for best aftercare for tattoo results. Continuous use will help promote healing and extend the life of semi permanent makeup tattoos.

Does the perming lotion contain the ingredient “Cysteamine” ?
Yes, some formulas contain the ingredient “Cysteamine”, then some contain the ingredient “Thioglycolic acid”. The active ingredient of the perming lotion is a reducing agent, which acts to break the disulfide bonds in the eyelash. Commonly used reducing agents are Thioglycolic acid and Cysteamine. Compare to Cysteamine, Thioglycolic acid has a strong reducing power.
