Physical disinfection and chemical disinfection methods in tattoo operation

by:Qinmei     2022-04-19

The disinfection and sterilization of tattoo and beauty can mainly start from physical and chemical aspects. This article will introduce the physical disinfection and sterilization method separately. For chemical methods, please refer to 'Chemical Sterilization in Tattoo Beauty'. 1. High pressure steam sterilization method This method is the safest and most reliable, and is the most commonly used disinfection method for tattoo beauty. ①Scope of application: This method is suitable for suture materials, beauty equipment, dressings and glassware. In addition, silicone cosmetic products can also be sterilized by this method. ②Contraindications: This method is not suitable for plastic and rubber equipment that is not resistant to high temperature, vaseline, oil, powder, and sharp and easily affected cosmetic scalpels and scissors that cannot be penetrated by steam. ③ Precautions: a. The air for disinfection and sterilization should be excluded in time; b. The calculation of the sterilization time should be reasonable; c. The packaging and arrangement of items should be appropriate; d. Control the heating speed; Safe operation, etc. There are many types of existing high pressure steam sterilizers. Before use, you must read the instructions and operate according to the operating procedures. ④General data: medical high pressure index (104~137, 3kpa), temperature (126℃); household high pressure index (127, 5kpa), temperature (124℃). The time is 30 minutes. Chemical disinfection in tattooing operations Many of the instruments used in tattooing and beauty care are very delicate, and it is inconvenient to use some of the thermal disinfection methods described in 'Physical Disinfection in Tattooing and Embroidery Operations1. Commonly used disinfectants: ①40% formaldehyde solution: can soak precision instruments; ②coal body soap solution: can soak knives, scissors, needles; ③1‰ thimerosal tincture: can soak prosthesis, plastic, etc.; ④1‰ chlorhexidine Solution: can soak sharps, etc; Disinfection of articles and indoor air; 8. Disinfectant for instruments: There are many formulas, which are characterized by strong sterilization ability, anti-rust, no (or little) corrosive effect, and can be used to disinfect sharp metal instruments, such as knives, scissors, etc., soaking time 30 to 60 minutes. 2. Disinfectants suitable for skin disinfection should have the following conditions: ① Can kill various microorganisms including fungi on the skin; ② Will not damage the skin and will not be absorbed by the skin to prevent skin poisoning; ③ No Causes allergic skin reactions; ④ Can remain on the skin for a certain period of time. The currently commonly used skin disinfectants can kill both gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens, including bacterial spores (but they may not be able to completely kill bacteria deep in the skin, and attention should be paid). The bactericidal ability of various disinfectants is also different. The bactericidal effect of PVP iodine, benzalkonium bromide, and chlorhexidine (chlorhexidine) is better than that of iodine tincture, because PVP iodine can play the role of iodine for a long time, while benzalkonium bromide can play the role of iodine for a long time. Ammonium and chlorhexidine have both degreasing effects and can penetrate into sebaceous ducts and pores. 3. The most commonly used methods of skin disinfection for tattoo beauty are: (1) Iodine tincture disinfection method: Iodine tincture is an aqueous solution containing 2% iodine, 1.5% potassium iodide, and 64% ethanol, which can be used for skin disinfection. Alcohol is deiodinated to prevent damage to the skin over time. (2) Alcohol disinfection method: After washing hands with running water, beauticians can soak them in alcohol solution with a concentration of 70% for disinfection, generally scrubbing gently for more than 5 minutes. The subject's skin should be disinfected with 75% alcohol. (3) 1:1000 Xinjieermin: used for skin disinfection, this method has little local irritation, and is generally used for skin disinfection during eyebrow tattooing, eyeliner tattooing, and lip tattooing. (4) Ethylene oxide: suitable for all kinds of items, mainly those that are afraid of heat and moisture, especially for the disinfection of various precision instruments.
